PlayMor Farm was established in 1982 by Bill and
Sammi Hazen. Operated as a public training
business under the banner of Hazen Training
Center until 2005, PlayMor turned into a private
breeding farm when family members Jacqueline
Clapp and Catherine Hazen joined Bill and Sammi
in purchasing a 97 acre farm in Lexington,
Kentucky. Since that time, this family quest has
created a state of the art Morgan horse breeding
and training facility which houses a top show
string, a band of outstanding broodmares, and an
elite selection of breeding stallions.

The entire family is involved with the horses on
a day to day basis. Cathy and her teenage
children, Anna and Austin, compete in several
divisions, as do Bill and Sammi’s daughters,
Jennifer and Whitney. Jacqueline Clapp’s career
did not start until her 70s, but she is a
familiar sight in the show ring as well as the
winner’s circle. Walk the aisles at PlayMor and
you will meet some of the best Morgan show
horses in the world. Walk the fields, and you
will find the next generation.
The farm also houses an on-site clinic which
specializes in illness and injury recovery as
well as offering expert breeding services.
PlayMor Equine Services is managed by Michael
Adams, renowned throughout the horse world for
his meticulous treatment of horses from the
breeding shed to the show ring to the race
track. Twenty-four hour care is provided by a
staff of energetic trainers, grooms, and
technicians whose love and devotion for our
horses is as apparent as the smiles that light
our fields and aisles every day. PlayMor Farm is
the culmination of a lifelong love of family,
friends and the Morgan horse. Whether breeding,
buying, or just passing through, we welcome you
to visit us and share in our love of the Morgan
horse.
